The language filter was brutal.
On a thread in their relationship forum someone started a poll about which video game they should play/rent for a first date. The options were all more recent games, i.e. Grand Theft Auto, WoW, etc.
Instead of picking from their choices, I suggested Asteroids and *******.
Anyone care to guess the name of the second game?

On the other board, my response was…
Asteroids and Frogger.
Their language filter changed it to…
Asteroids and *******.

I had to look that one up.
Apparently “frogger” is an old Dutch word meaning “one who eats frogs,” i.e. the French.

You do realize that shite is a curse word in other parts of the word. Also if you’re going to type shite and mpotherfudger then you, me and everyone else in the world knows you mean shit and motherfucker so technically you are cussing. Same as using ****. We all know by the context if you mean shit, fuck, cunt and probably several others. You are cussing and you’re not fooling anyone.

As someone who used to not curse and now does, I can tell you that all of those words have completely different feelings to them. I don’t see why people think they are actually equivalent.

Now stuff like “f**k” is equivalent. But not “fudge” or “flippin’” or “darn” or “crap” (instead of “shit”).
