There are about a gazillion automotive GPS navigation devices out there, but most seem to have pretty small screens, around 3" wide at best.
I’d like a screen at least 5" wide. Anybody know if such an animal exists? I’ve spent several hours serching with no luck so far.
I should add that the Lowrance iWay 500C Pro has a diagonal screen size of 5". They claim it is the largest on the market today.
I don’t know how big you’d consider too big, but have you though of using a tablet PC with a mounting bracket? Considerably more expensive, but considerably larger screen as well. I found refurb and new 10.4in diagonal tablets in the $650-1000 range. You’d then have to spring for mapping/routing software and buy/make a suitable bracket, but it’s an option.
Thanks, Shagnasty , that looks pretty good, even if only a 5" diagonal. I’d like bigger, but that may do.
Thanks also, Stan Doubt . I may fiddle with your good idea of a tablet I know they have GPS for laptops, but mine is too beg and cumbersome for car use.
