Largest Car Park

I did some looking but didn’t find any cites, however I’m guessing that many of the largest football stadiums, especially rural university stadiums, would be near the top of the list. Michigan, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Tennessee are among the places that accomodate 100K+ spectators and would need sufficient parking for them.

Maybe not. I lived in Norman Oklahoma for a while, (GO SOONERS!) and every game day the neighborhood residences would sell parking space on their yard. If they didn’t sell it, people would park there anyway.

I would guess Tokyo would have the largest multistoried structure for parking.

They must have super-secret underground parking lots at Tokyo Disney if they’re in contention for the largest in the world. I’ve been to both Disney and Disney Sea in Tokyo, and neither has unusually large parking lots that I remember. AFAIK, the vast majority of visitors take the train.

The West Edmonton Mall site claims that they hold the Guinness world record for largest parking lot. Anyone know where they came up with that? As noted above, the Guinness World Records site is silent on the issue.

I know that the Enclyclopedia of Bad Taste listed them as having the world’s largest lot, which is where I came by my post #2, but the book was published nearly fifteen years ago.
