Largest landfill in Oregon?

…I won’t pretend that it’s not an odd question, or even that it’s a “deep” question.

But I will say that this is probably the only place online that I can find the answer.

So, I ask; Where is the largest landfill in Oregon?

“In 1990, the Columbia Ridge Landfill opened near Arlington, Oregon, to replace the St. Johns Landfill and serve the Portland metropolitan region.”

Yep, that’s right, the largest city in the state hauls its garbage in an endless stream of trucks 136 miles eastward on Interstate 84 to Columbia Ridge

The trucks are a familiar sight on I-84, with an average of one passing by every 10 minutes.
That’s a lot of trash, and I suspect the site is the state’s lrgest.
