Ohh, don’t get me wrong, I agree that the parents destroyed the guy’s property – they were clearly morally offended by his porn collection, but it was still the guy’s stuff.
OTOH, suing your own parents for triple damages for a collection of porn suggests to me that there’s likely a lot more going on in the story, on both sides.
