What???

:frowning:

Wait a minute. Why doesn’t this appear on the news sites, or on a web search?

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=529&e=1&u=/ap/20040829/ap_en_mu/obit_branigan

I did Google News search and it did turn up. Here’s the story from The Miami Herald. And the AP story from the Gazette in Charleston, West Virginia.

:frowning:

You take my self, you take my self control
I, I live among the creatures of the night
I haven’t got the will to try and fight
Against a new tomorrow
so I guess I’ll just believe it
that tomorrow never comes
A safe night, I’m living in the forest of my dream
I know the night is not as it would seem
I must believe in something
so I’ll make myself believe it
that this night will never go
Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh.

:frowning: Farewell Laura.

Man, she wasn’t around for long–professionally–but she sure as hell made her mark.

Bummer. Seriously. A bad piece of news to cap a suck day. :frowning:

RIP Laura, thanks for some great tunes.

That sucks- I really loved her music back in the 80’s. At least she went peacefully.

Sic transit Gloria…Gloria…I think I got your number…

I’m not sure how many people are aware that she appeared Off-Broadway in “Love, Janis”, the story of Janis Joplin’s life and apparently she NAILED the part. She will definitely be missed.
