Law and Order (TV - spoilers)

Dear Dopers,

Over here in the UK the weather is fine, but we are (as usual) way behind with your fine US TV productions.

Bearing that in mind, please could anyone comment on the episode where an rich powerful businessman kills a financial adviser by getting Julia Roberts to slip him viagra?

Julia’s character provides a policeman (Rey wassisname) with the bag of viagra, complete with the bad guy’s fingerprints.
She then appears to sabotage the trial by claiming Rey fancied her (as you would!), and thus compromised the evidence.

I got the impression that the police thought she was a plant from the start, trying to find out the case against the businessman.

But if so, why provide the ‘smoking gun’ of the murder weapon?

Did I misunderstand?
How did you read the plot?
Anyone recommend a Law and Order website with plot summaries?

As I remember it, some other guy gave the pills to Julia’s character, telling her it would help the victim “have a good time.” She claimed not to know what effect they would have on the victim.

The episode was called Empire, and Julia and Benjamin Bratt were dating at the time. She was a charity co-ordinator, putting wealthy people together with good causes to raise money.
