Wow. That’s sad, that she was assured Hayao would be working on it, but he didn’t. A bit of a slap in the face that the reason she was given for that was that he was retiring, only to find that he’s worked on subsequent films.
Earthsea was on Space a couple weeks ago, so I taped it and attempted to watch it. I gave up after 15 minutes because I had only the faintest idea of what was going on and why. Truly a piss-poor production.
