When I’m in a hurry for a new car, I RENT. Rented a car from Alamo for 3 months, and loved it (a NEON - perfect for city parking, an so plush for a small car. No trunk, but I seldom have wanted one.)
It was cheaper than lease+insurance.
And I just returned it when I left for the opposite coast.
You have to call often, though, to get good extended rates. They seem to make them up depending on who you call, so be sure and write that down and ask for the same person when you arrive, or it’s bait-and-switch.
