Can anyone recommend a reliable leather jacket repair shop? I have a lambskin G2 that I bought when I was 20 or so, and my 12yo son recently discovered it and I’m pleased and proud to have him wearing it with panache. However, the cuffs and waistband are shot and need replacement.
I found US Wings online and they want a fairly reasonable $140 to replace the cuffs and waistband and ship it back. Any reviews of them? Any suggestions for a better leather tailor? Maybe one in the northeast? Maybe one within shouting distance of Hartford?

They are leather jacket experts with exceptional customer service. I don’t think they will repair jackets other than ones that came from them but anyone can call them and ask for advice on that type of thing for free. I know they get questions like your a lot and can provide free referrals if they can’t do it themselves.
Many large cities have local experts in leather repair. taking it to someone local will save you at least the shipping charges, and you might get a better deal on the repair.
If you don’t find anyone local, ask at your local saddle shop or horse tack shop – they probably know about any place that does such repairs. Also check with local motorcycle shops.
