That’s a pug. They’re about 15-20 pounds, so they’re not the most comfortable lap animal. They’re not laprats, more like sidepigs.

When we visited our daughter in Germany, there were dogs on the bus, dogs at restaurants, even dogs in the supermarket - and they were all perfectly behaved. What do they know that laprat owners don’t?

When we were raising guide dog puppies we always brought them into restaurants, and for the most part no one knew they were there. There is usually a nice table for them to go under - out of the way and not involved with the food.

Korea hasn’t been immune to the toy dog pandemic, and recently I saw a program where foreign ladies talk about their home countries and one of them from Germany talked about the dog laws there. Apparently for every stage of your dog’s training, you have to get certified. The bigger the dog, the more you need. And when one goes on a bus, the owner must pay children’s fare.
