I currently have to wear a removable cast on my right leg (MAJOR PITA), which I have to remove for showering and driving. I know there are hand controls that can be installed on cars, but are there adapters that enable the gas and brake to be controlled by the left foot?
Are you using a standard transmission? That might be a little difficult without adapters. But with an automatic transmission, just use your left foot. I had a huge cast on my right leg for a while. I had to put my leg over the console to get it out of the way, but was then able to drive my dad’s T-Bird with my left foot operating the accelerator and brake pedals. I’ve also driven left-footed without changing the car when I’ve had sprained ankles.
There are left foot gas pedal adapters but just shifting a bit and using your left foot should work.
