I suspect he’s not going to be late for anything for at least 5 years.
Too bad. Sounds like he REALLY NEEDED that vacation.
Then again, I reckon he’s going to get a nice long one. . .
Risking suicide? How does that work for anyone except Cleavon Little?
I didn’t see it mentioned, could an assult like what’s mentioned in the OP cause someone to be put on a “no-fly list” that transcends the list of the offended airline? One operated by the TSA?
Yeah…that’s a lot of “thinking” for someone mentally imbalanced enough to attack a flight crew and some cops.
This is exactly why I fly to the destination city a day early.
Do you know if he had been drinking?
Any chance he might be eaten by Langoliers?
(sorry, couldn’t resist–the guy sounds like Mr. Toomey from that story).
Jail + fine + I bet they take away all his frequent flyer miles!
Not necessarily. In Loudoun, we get all manner of crimes committed in Dulles Airport. Being convicted of hitting an MWAA officer (airport police), is a Class 6 felony, that will get you a mandatory minimum of six months in jail. If charged as a state crime, pushing the copilot in the terminal is probably just like a standard assault and battery. Class 1 misdemeanor. Up to 12 months in jail.
The most likely outcome for this particular hooligan will depend on if he has any prior criminal record. If he is charged federally, the sentencing guidelines (which most states have as well), will determine the likely punishment. Prior criminal records really ratchet up the points.
