It seems pretty clear. FA said “Don’t do that!” Bozo did that. FA gets hit in the head. Bozo gets even more bozo. FA does a 10.0 swan dive into unemployment. Good for him.

Are those emergency slide things dangerous or not? And since he was presumably the only one using it… is it actually illegal to recklessly endanger yourself?
I read that he was recklessly endangering anyone who might have been walking below the exit.
Whatever happens to this guy, I hope he’s got a new career ahead of him as a celebrity spokesperson or inspirational speaker or something. He’s my new hero.
That has several layers of awesome. I hope his punishment is not too severe.
The passenger was the one who started it. He deserves to be arrested for assault with a suitcase, and interfering with an airplane crewmember., The latter charge is very serious in this post9/11 world.
I have a new resolution to put on my list: Never piss off any service person on their last day at the job.

I vote awesome. One point each for the intercom rant and the public “fuck you”. 50 points for inflating the exit chute and a bonus 10 points for the snatching beers on his way out.

That’s pretty cool, and working in the aviation industry myself, I can understand his motivation. But here are a few ways I could imagine topping him. Preface each by yelling, “I QUIT!!!”:

I saw that on another forum this monrning, and i’ll say the same thing here that i said there:
That’s pretty great, if it really happened.
But all we have right now is a series of photos that anyone could have taken in their own apartment, with no established connection whatsoever to any verifiable individual or place of employment. It wouldn’t surprise me very much if she turned out to be some actress/model/reality TV wannabe who cooked up the stunt for publicity.
I guess the amount of bullshit and instant fame whores on the internet has made me somewhat cynical.
At the very least, it would be good if he were named and shamed.
I hate assholes like this on planes, people who think that the rules apply to everyone but them.
