Well it would add a certain authenticity without causing much upset if they slipped in some genuine German signatures.
I had no idea about the miniseries. And while I remember liking the book I can’t really remember the details. I’m looking forward to watching the miniseries almost unspoiled.
Could I suggest you listen to the sound track through headphones. I found the voices didn’t stand out enough through ordinary loudspeakers: I used to blame actors for mumbling, and noticeably so in this series, but using quite cheap Bluetooth headphones somehow expanded the “sound space” so that it was much easier to distinguish quite quiet voices.
