Ivylad got me tickets to see Manheim Steamroller in concert on Dec 11.
The concert starts at 7:30p.
Also on Dec 11, my daughter’s play (she’s a wolf in a Christmas play) starts at 6:30p, and is supposed to last 45 minutes.
Now, there’s no way I’m going to miss my daughter playing a wolf in a Christmas play, so we’re debating whether to go to the concert late.
It would take us about 30-45 minutes to get to the concert, park, get to our seats, etc.
Now, if the concert is only an hour and a half, it hardly seems worth it.
Anyone have experience with the length of concerts, specifically Manheim Steamroller?
(Yes, Ivylad called the concert venue. They have no clue how long the concert is, or if there’s an opening act.)
I don’t know about Manheim Steamroller specifically, but most of the concerts I been to run til midnight. Regardless of start time.
Usually it says on the ticket whether or not there is an opening act. Take a good look at it. Does it say if there is a ‘special guest?’ If so, that means the show starts at least 30 mins after the set time.
Does the show start at 7:30pm or do the doors open at 7:30?
Generally, no concert in my experience starts on time.
I would also look around on the internet at sites about Mannheim Steamroller with message boards. It’s likely that someone around there will have seen the tour by then and can give you an idea of how long it lasted.
