Length of the new Harry Potter book?

Just curious… (but not curious enough to read through the existing threads about the new HP book (sorry if it’s in there)

I read in a news blurb about the new HP book going to the top of the Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com best-seller lists based solely on pre-orders in the first day after it’s announcement that it was about 250,000 words.

Is that right?

How does this compare with the length of the first four books?

How long will the movie be?

The book will apparently be one-third longer than The Goblet of Fire.

Gee… each book so far has been longer than the one before it. At this rate book 7 will be larger than the OED and the last movie will be 6 hours long!!!

So, who here has pre-ordered Order of the Phoenix?

Come on, I can’t be the only one!

This was discussed just a few days ago…
