This is just a trivia item I came across a while back that I was reminded of as the result of the recent “discovery” of Abu Abbas. Anyway, Mr. Klinghoffer’s family (maybe he himself) was the inventor (or at least marketer) of one of the popular home rotisseries back in the 1950s. I came across that reading about legendary pitchman Ron Popeil.
Maybe they’ll include a rotisserie phase in his punishment. Anybody that shoots an old man in a wheelchair and dumps his body into the sea needs to be punctured.
I figured super glueing him to a wheelchair and towing him from a cruise ship, but the rotisserie idea is good…
Just a quick reminder of one basic fact: Abu Abbas, though he planned the hijacking of the Achille Lauro, didn’t shoot anyone. He did not take part in the hijacking. He wasn’t on the ship. Still a nasty guy, but not the actual murderer.
Doesn’t matter Early Out. He sure was an accomplice, and that makes him just as guilty.
I was just trying to correct the factual confusion implicit in this:
As I said, Abbas is not someone you’d want to invite to your next dinner party, to put it mildly, but he didn’t actually pull the trigger on poor Mr. Klinghoffer. And I seriously doubt that the hijacking plan included: “Step 27: locate and murder Leon Klinghoffer.” He set the plan in motion, but how it actually played out was probably more the result of the proclivities of the actual hijackers.
