Leonard, Howard, Raj, or Sheldon?

My wife says; not Sheldon for obvious reasons, Howard is creepy, I’d like to be able to talk to the guy so not Raj so I guess Leonard by default.

I think after a few beers Raj would open up and he’d be the catch…whether he could maintain the conversation after, however, I have serious doubts.

Stand back bitch! That boy’s MINE!

Would have been Galecki at one time, but Parsons is smoking. Generally just kind of cute physically but the comic genius and very obvious intelligence boost him to smokin’. (Plus I’ve seen Galecki naked [as can anybody who googles Galecki naked]- not all that.)

ETA: That’s bitch in the over-the-top gay catfight sense… not in the “I actually think Kylede’s a bitch” sense.

Ditto on this, though if Raj were in a little bit better shape I might be persuaded to go his way. Being with Sheldon would be too much like incest.

Raj. I liked Johnny Galecki on Roseanne but TBBT has completely ruined him for me.

My guess is that he wanted to say, “I don’t know why I’m even addressing this question because it’s so stupid.”

It depends upon the length of the required relationship. For the long-long term, I’d say Raj has the most normal family - and who can’t get along with a MIL who lives 5,000 miles away?

For the medium term, Leonard would be the most interesting, but I don’t think I could take him/his family for the long haul.

If it’s just one night, or a really fun weekend, Sheldon.

Howard does not bear contemplation under any circumstances. Sorry Human Race, if it’s just us, you’re gone. Not no how, not no way. Not even by turkey baster.

Wait, not to be dumb, but are you saying Jim Parsons is straight in real life? Wow, that is some good acting. But wait, the show never says he is gay, do they? (I haven’t seen every episode) So why would he act gay, unless he is gay in real life?

I know, I am guilty of stereotyping to say he “acts gay”. But hey we all have our own version of gay-dar, and mine reads Jim Parsons as gay and Johnny Galecki as straight.

And no I was not surprised about Doogie. I’m only surprised he gets such horn dog roles in “Harold & Kumar” and “How I met your Mother”. Not believeable at all in the latter, but in the former it’s great if you look at it as part of the joke.

Oh, yeah I forgot to answer the OP. BTW I am a hetero female. I too have had a crush on JG since Roseanne, altho I find him somewhat less cute in TBBT. If we are talking about the actors: Raj, then Leonard. If we are talking about the characters: Leonard I guess. With guys like Howard & Raj, they seem such annoying losers I can understand the “No Way” reaction. On the other hand, you never know, they may be great in bed…?

I guess of all the bunch, Leonard.

I think someone called it the Spock syndrome (the attraction to Sheldon.) Leonard Nimoy, and later, Brent Spiner, used to get love letters from women constantly, and both actors were bemused because they played unemotional, unavailable characters. Sheldon is immature socially and sexually. He may be a genius, but he doesn’t think outside his head. He’s very rigid. I know there are women out there who would welcome the challenge in finding the chink in his (or Spock’s, or Data’s) armor, but Leonard is so much more accessible and cute.

Raj could be funny, if he didn’t have to get drunk to talk to women, and Howard is…Howard. Again, he can be charming when he’s not trying too hard, but he most always tries too hard.

ISTR that Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco were dating at one point, so that would pretty clearly rule out JG as being gay.

And since Day 1 I’ve thought that Jim Parsons (the actor, NOT Sheldon) was gay. He may be playing it coyly like Sean Hayes, however.

As for Sheldon’s sexuality, I figure he’s either asexual, or he’s straight and he just hasn’t found the right girl. My dream episode of TBBT would involve all four guys getting some action, in separate story lines.

Great idea, I would love to see that!

Sheldon is pretty clearly asexual. Sex does not interest him at all. That’s different in a television character entirely.

I’m not convinced he’s asexual. I think that, at this point in the show, he’s so pompous that he believes himself “above” sexual desire. And he’ll continue to do so until a suitable woman excites him sexually.

There was an episode where he and Leonard’s mother had a fling. Intellectual excitement replaced sexual excitement, but the potential was there for a woman to excite him. I think it will happen one of these days.

Off topic or on, I’d bet my 401K as to Jim Parsons being gay. He sets off every gaydar chime there is and IIRC he attended the Emmies with another man so I don’t even think he’s closeted so much as “doesn’t speak to the issue” (ala David Hyde Pierce). Galecki I can’t get a bi-corder reading on but neither would surprise me.

ok, now really have to explain what a “beard” is in the entertainment industry. Rock Hudson and Anthony Perkins were both married, but they were gay too. Hell, Lance Bass was engaged to Daniell Fishell (Topanga from Boy meets world fame)

You’re right, they did date, but if you want to take people at their word, both considered it a real relationship. Bass wasn’t in the closet or using her as a beard, he hadn’t realized he was gay yet.

Rock Hudson and Anthony Perkins’ careers were in a time when being gay and out wasn’t as accepted as it is now.

There was also the Indian girl (whose parents were trying to arrange a marriage to Raj) who he thought looked exactly like the princess character in a story he read as a child. He had at least some sort of interest in her, and she certainly seemed interested in him, but it didn’t go anywhere beyond some tooth-care advice.
