We are doing a bit of European touring this summer and were planning on being in Milan for half of a day between Chamonix and Venice. Unfortunately, the online/available tickets for our “window of opportunity”(11.am-5.pm) are zero at the websites for just distributing the tickets and no other tour (~6€). There do seem to be sites that sell for $35-40 with no clear increase in what you buy- some do have bus tours and a guide for the painting with the increased fee. This would be a nice addition to our trip and we’d like to see it if possible (and not pay the $40 per person especially for a 6 year old for 15 minutes of viewing). So will there be cheaper options in person in Milan? For just the viewing tickets? All of the guidebooks say to check with the hotel manager, etc., but where are they getting their tickets?
