I think Dallas was thinking that things were going their way until the second period began and the Oilers went on a two period rampage. The Stars just couldn’t get their shit together tonight and demonstrated an uncharacteristic lack of discipline.
The Oilers basically beat Dallas at their own game and the winning of game one could be significant.
Hatcher is probably going to get a pass on that hit he put on Staios, if he pulls that kind of shit again he’s may end up watching the rest of the playoffs from the bench.
In other news… what the fuck happened in Ottawa?? Getting shut out by the Islanders is no way to start a run towards being the Eastern champions.

Alright, Stars fan checking in. I’ve got to give the Oilers credit for the way they played the game last night. They ran with what the officals let them get away with. That and they were more physical for about 50 minutes.
I will say that Don ‘have another doughnut, you fat pig’ Koharski is an idiot. I am also waiting to hear some league official say, with a straight face, that the crack down on obstruction is still alive. Based on what I saw the Oilers getting away with, I would have one skated on the ice for the Stars just leave his stick on the bench and go around grabbing, holding and tackling Oiler players.
Go Sens! It’s been 76 years, I say they’re due.
That being said, they’re also off to a great start in the annual playoff choke.

Oh yeah! Thank God the playoffs are finally here. What a great season, but this is the best time of the year.
I’m going to games 3 and 4 up in Anaheim, proudly wearing my Red Wings gear. Hopefully my boys will sweep it in four, but I’m a little worried. Those Daffy Ducks have a much better team this year. Anyone else planning on seeing the games live?
