To make a token gesture towards the OP, I’ve also heard “pizza stand”.

But see, the whole point of asking this was for everyone to tell me that it was popsicle and that my friend was strangely mistaken. Hmm… I just hate the word pop (when referring to soda) almost as much as the words panties and cream (when not referring to the stuff that comes from milk).

From growing up in Illinois, I vote for “popsicle”, “6 ways from”, and “3 sheets”. I’ve heard both “3 sheets in” and “3 sheets to” but we never sailed in the corn fields, so what would we know?

I always figured it had similar origins to “I’ll fix his little red wagon!” i.e. nonsensical, yet with a hint of sense just to make it seem like it means something.
