Let's discuss under-the-radar streaming channel movies we've watched recently

The title foreshadows what will happen.

I signed up for a Peacock trial so I could watch Brave New World (staring Alden “Han Solo” Ehrenreich, Harry “Game of Thrones, Counterpart” Lloyd, and Demi “apparently I still exist” Moore). I enjoyed it and the first season ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. I believe they delve into the class structure a lot more deeply than the book or any previous adaptation I’ve seen. Not just the whole Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Epsilon thing, but also the “Savage Lands” / “New Londoners” dynamic.

“Perpetual Grace Ltd” is my current addiction-of-choice. Apparently quite underwatched in the US due to being on a niche streaming service called Epix. Featuring Ben Kingsley (being FABULOUS) and Jacqui Weaver (possibly unknown to most on this board but A Major Big Deal in Oz TV terms) as a shady old couple running a church in small town USA which may possibly have been scamming innocent people out of their life savings. Also Damon Herriman of Justified/Dewey Crowe fame as their loser son who has a complicated and probably doomed plot to scam them out of it, via a depressed ex-firefighter named James who’s supposed to entice them down to Mexico, declare them dead, and get them locked away somewhere while their bank account is drained.

It does not go well.
