Let's talk Beer!

I can read, I swear. :smack: Was that the beer around the world thing? I’ve always wanted to try that; I had no idea you could get freakin’ Optimator at WDW.

Tonight my a/c is broken, so I am going for something light and crisp: Hacker-Pschorr weisse. Pretty much fits the bill for the evening atmosphere. It’s a little sweet up front and crisp as it leaves. I have two other wheat beers to try this week. Weird thing is, I’m usually all over the dopplebocks and the dude is all over the wheat beers, but we seem to have swapped this week; he’s been drinking Salvator.

Yeah, it was at the World Pavilion in Epcot. There was an incredible buffet in the Germany section formatted like a biergarten so that you sat with other folks. A guy at our table ordered that before I got there and it looked delicious, so I got the same thing. I had never heard of Spaten before, but man, what a happy accident.

All honor to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and all. but everyone knows that the best California beer is Boont Amber Ale , with the Lagunitas IPA running a near second running a near second and Red Tail Ale a very near third.

My all-time favorite beer however is the Lost Coast Downtown Brown.

I like most beers produced by the Wychwood Brewery, but most especially Hobgoblin.

Other than that most of Woodforde’s beers are pretty good. .

I also like Greene King IPA.

But if I’m out for a serious drinking session then I tend to drink lager as it has less of a headbanging effect that the beers listed above. Those I savour with close friends and family.
