Two different people have told me that a relative got leukemia from a blood tranfusion. I didn’t think this was possible. Is it?
Google seems to say yes, but I’m having trouble finding specific studies.
I assume noblood.org is a little biased.

Best I can do.

In short, having had a blood transfusion does seem to increase slightly the risk of getting Non-hodgkins Lymphoma and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. At least per this study.
Other studies have apparently not all found this same connection: http://pt.wkhealth.com/pt/re/ajep/abstract.00000429-200408150-00004.htm http://pt.wkhealth.com/pt/re/ajep/abstract.00000429-200204150-00008.htm
