So, I’m watching TV and there is an ad for Gundam models. They have all these alternative looking folks (well, and one kid) going on about the Gundam they put together and how long it took.
THEY’RE TALKING ABOUT PUTTING TOGETHER FRIGGING MODELS!!!
Is this the new hip thing? Is this what to do if you’re in the “in” crowd?
Mods, I’m so confused. I don’t know what’s going on. By the way, if this is in the wrong forum, feel free to move it.
Putting together models is what you do if you’re an obsessive fangirl. ::nudges model box under the bed with a conveniently placed foot:: At least, that is the conclusion I have come to through the extensive study of my friends and acquaintances. I’m sure the models are just compensation for the fact that anime is not real, and thus, the Gundams and their pilots are not real.
Of course, this is not the perfect sample. Entirely female, an obsessive nature of the worst kind, notorious for worshipping series geared towards younger audiences.
Nah, the models are just fun to put together. I got one for my birthday. I’m not quite done with it yet, but it’s nice to be able to say that I built the darn thing.

What are you getting so worked up about. An ad for Gundam Models has people talking about putting the models together. So what? Not your thing? Good, makes it more likely I’ll find a Deathscythe. (Not that I’ve been having much luck on that front, although I did find Deathscythe Hell.)
As it took me an hour each to do my two Level 1s, I envy - ENVY - the ones who said they did Level 5s in 10 and 17 hours. Well…I’d envy them if I wasn’t sure it was all a lie.
