Levetation party trick (HUMAN DIAMAGNETISM GRAVITY ANTENNA LEVITATION)

according to [http://www.castleofspirits.com/levitation.html](this page,) You are able to leviate someone as a party trick. It seems too out of this world to be true and searching in this archive and google yielded nothing. Has this been performed successfully and what is supposed to happen if you do.

Don’t put gibberish in your titles. Just pick a good one to begin with.

Email a mod and ask him/her to fix it.

The link doesn´t work.
However, my little knowledge of the concept is that, yes; you could levitate a human on a powerful magnetic field because of it´s very minuscule diamagnetism. I´ve seen picture of a frog floating that way… of course it was a small frog; a human would need the mother and father of all magnets working togheter to break it´s earthly bonds.

The OP title was taken from the webpage linked above.

Doesn’t make it non-gibberish.

Yes, many people can lift one person with an ease that is surprising. The easily impressed could call this levitation, others might call it “many hands make light work”.

Why the authors of this page chose to shroud this party trick in scientific mumbo-jumbo is any body’s guess.

“Gibber, fester, bitter; pick any two.” --Bizarro Engineering Proverb

As Ale correctly posted, it is possible to levitate a very small frog using a very large magnetic field (and I’ve also heard of strawberries being levitated in the same way). However, though it’s technically possible to do it with people, the electromagnet would require a power supply equivalent to the output of a large power station (as Ale partly implied).

Still the frogs are pretty

To make myself clearer, diamagnetism exists (though not as explained on the linked site), but has nothing to do with the phenomenon of many people lifting someone easily, as The Great Unwashed explained. Using diamagnetism to levitate someone is theoretically possible, but requires considerably more resources than are usually available at your average party (unless I’m going to the wrong parties…)
