My new 47" LG TV doesn’t have a plugin for earphones. How can I adapt the TV to use my earphones? Any ideas will help.
the viewing distance is such that you wouldn’t want to be attached to lead.
Surely it has two RCA plugs which are line out copy of the audio, this output should not be affected by the TV’s volume control (Or, if it is affected by the volume control, one of the TV settings turns off the speakers but not this output… )
And then you buy a wireless headphone system… a base near the tv, and the unit you wear on your head - perhaps it returns to the base for charging.
There’s also the optical or coax output possibilities… some sort of output which can go to some other amplifier … which can then have the attachments such as wireless or wired headphone.
Use RCA or HDMI Line out to inexpensive receiver. Receiver will have headphone capability. As a side note I would never attach a wired headphone cable to a large flat screen TV. The potential for disaster is significant if the wire gets yanked or tripped over from the TV circuit board the jack is attached to getting ripped out to pulling the TV over.
Some LG TVs have bluetooth. If yours does you can use bluetooth wireless headphones.
