My position on that topic is that it would not surprise me one iota if intelligence fluctuated among the races the same way that hight, skin color, eye shape and nose shape does. Whites maybe be smarter than Blacks. Blacks may be smarter than Whites. And Asians may be smarter or dumber than both groups.

The same assault and/or battery but you take something from the victim two years in California.
The difference is that Virginia robbery requires harm or threat of harm rather than force or threat of force. So California didn’t HAVE to word it that way but they did (Robbery carries a 5 year minimum in Virginia so the penalty is harsher as well).

He had at least one spell of jail during that year, which lasted 3 weeks. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find out what happened after the last incident. I got this info from essentially a police blotter: this wasn’t a national outrage story. I take it that it isn’t especially unusual. All of that crap seems more serious than felony cardboard sheet stealing. None of it (at least until the last arrest) got him more than 3 months in jail, judging from the time line.

I’d more or less agree with magellan on both counts. (I’m agnostic about whether some races are genetically predisposed to lower IQ, but definitely not closed to the idea).
I also think ‘women have the right to an abortion for any reason they want’ is a lot more morally revolting than, for example, "Racial group A is genetically predisposed to lower IQ than racial group B’.

Not really. I mean, it’d be nice in theory if it were more exact, because obviously it’s foolishness bordering on psychosis to consider this act to be the sort of robbery that demands a multi-year prison sentence, but the system handles this sort of psychotic foolishness by giving prosecutors latitude to ignore such foolishness when it arises.
The nice thing about the racial IQ “debate” is that it’s catnip for morons. When the topic comes up they can’t help identifying themselves.
The prosecutor could have (but according to Bricker (who is a lot closer to these sort of things) probably would not have) thrown the book at her. As an aside, I wonder if the prosecutor is as understanding when the criminal is poor and uneducated.
As Marley23 (and billions of others) pointed out, the racial IQ thing is too stupid to even argue again. But I am interested in what you mean by women having abortions for “any reason they want”. I’m pretty sure the reason is pretty much always that they don’t want to have the baby, but I’d be interested in what you think. Do they have abortions to get back at religious nuts? For kicks? To teach the fathers a lesson? I’m sure you have some fascinating insight.

Are you saying it’s not scientifically possible for intelligence to correlate significantly with race? That intelligence can’t possibly be a genetic, racial characteristic like skin color and many other things are?
I’m not saying I think intelligence is genetic, or that anyone has proven it is (or hasn’t disproven it) - I’m just asking if you’re saying intelligence can’t possibly have any genetic cause. How have you proven that?
