I see several posts here that again seem to be posting the full lyrics of a song. I will remind posters that I had asked in the original thread not to post all the lyrics if a song is under copyright. If you are going to quote more than a stanza please explicitly mention that these are not the full lyrics of the song. Better yet, don’t quote more than a stanza (typically 4 lines from a song.) Just on this page I see the following examples:

Arnold - I wish to point out that 4 lines is a typical chorus - SOME additional verbiage is required to set up the chorus.
Except, perhaps:
“And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in”
and very few songs are so instantly recognizable for such a snippet to work
happyheathen - if you want to publish more than 4 lines, then find the lyrics on another site and link to it in this thread. For “Laurie (Strange Things Happen)” - aren’t those the full lyrics? Looks like it to me. To take one example I can verify: Eonwe has posted the full lyrics to a Moody Blues song (see this site that also has the lyrics). If you can’t find the lyrics online then describe in your own words why the song is stupid. We expect posters at the SDMB to be intelligent enough to express their thought without having to copy someone else’s words.
Regardless of warnings people persist in posting the full lyrics. I don’t want to have to go look up each post. I don’t have time for it.
In this thread if I see another post with more than 4 lines from a song I will close the thread with the instruction that it not be reopened.
