Life On Mars

What “if” one of the satellites spotted life on Mars. What would we do next?

It’s unlikely that a satellite would spot any Martian life, as and such organisms are likely to be microscopic and underground. If a ground probe did find some, we’d certainly want to send a probe to collect samples and return them to Earth fro further study, after suitable precaustions had been taken to ensure the organismes were well-contained. The chances of a non-terrestrial organism being harmful Earth life is small, but we wouldn’t want to take any chances.
