True dat. But in my case, I have stopped after S3.
Learjeff: gawdyes- The MJF show was actually painful to watch, I could not even finish epi 2.

Dads (has it been cancelled yet?) I like everyone on the show and hate the show itself.
How I Met Your Mother - I like NPH, Bob Sagat, and Alyson Hannigan. Jason Segal and Cobie Smulders are great in the other things I’ve seen them in (Muppets and Avengers, respectively). But HIMYM is aggressively unfunny.
Speaking of NPH - Dr Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog - I like the premise, I like NPH, I like Nathan Fillion, I like Joss Whedon…how the hell did they come together to create something so BORING?
I’m sure not all will agree, but I think all the following movies had great casts that were the victims of poor to mediocre scripts and/or directors. Not all were downright bad, but none of them is what I’d call good, especially considering how much better they could have been.
The Lion in Winter (1968)
The V.I.P.s (1963)
Les Miserables (2012)
Rachel Getting Married (2008)
California Suite (1978)
The Greatest Show on Earth (1952)
The Deer Hunter (1978)
Airport (1970)
It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963)
Sacrilige!
Good call — I first watched It’s a Mad, Mad etc. about 15 years ago with high hopes given the cast, and was so utterly disappointed I could barely make it through.
I wonder if I’d look upon it differently given another shot, but the fact that it’s hardly ever reaired on basic cable kinda doesn’t speak highly for its rewatchability either.
Cannonball Run kinda falls in that category too, though it’s more enjoyable than Mad Mad.
The Counselor was a recent movie with Brad Pitt, Micahel Fassbender, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, and Javier Bardem, directed by Ridley Scott and written by Cormac McCarthy. I like every name in that sentence and I hated the movie, it was awful.
Say what now?!
:dubious:
I have to second Dads. I tried to watch because I do love the cast, but it’s just soooooo bad.
