The correct stereotype is that both parties wear flag pins but Republicans think they’re patriots for doing it and Democrats know patriotism isn’t about a stupid pin.

Briefly, yes. But American politicians wear American Flag pins.
Canadian Politicians wear the Maple leaf flag.
and so forth.
It is by no means is a Republican thing.

In fact, more or less Bernie is the only one who doesnt, but he does wear a US Senate Pin.
