Fair enough. I realize the word has a neutral meaning, but any number of synonyms or alternate words could have been used in this case; when the word “segregation” is used in the context of race, I see it as an effort to evoke Jim Crow-type images and raise the general level of righteous-outrage-osity.

Anyway, some people think RL was being serious, others facetious. I don’t know the fellow; never heard him, wouldn’t know what he looks like - but, perhaps he was couching racist invective in mock humour.

Interestingly enough, that poster wasn’t tarred and feathered for being racist. In fact, it was instantly recognized as a joke. If you find this sort of thing so offensive, why not hop in there and lambast this poster for making similar remarks.
