Limerick about A.C. Clarke

In a science fiction book probably printed in the 60s there was an intro that included a semi-rude limerick about A. C. Clarke, written by another big-name sci-fi author.

It was basically poking fun at his cosmology, and the ending line was something to the effect of:

“By his own, immutable laws.”

It might have been in a book by Clarke.

Does anyone know the whole thing?

No, but I bet it was by Asimov. They were always poking fun at each other.
