Please , may I have a link to the article on glass that you were refering to in Supercooled. I have a little experience with evaporation -metal film-and I don’t see how the method he was talking about can work.I believe he is refering to a method called precipating. It still involves extreme heat. enough to melt the donator.
It’s not a link, it was a book, Glass Science by Doremus. And I’m quite sure it works because I’ve done it and it is quite a common procedure.
