Wouldn’t it be a good idea for this forum tae have a straight forward link tae copy/paste stuff from those kinda sites (and others) onto TSD.
Have tae admit,it’s the first message board I’ve ever came across that doesn’t have a link for those sites.

No, we’re not going to do that. We’re trying to keep the board simple-looking that’s not how we want it to look. And there’s really too much potential for abuse from jerks and spammers.
Big picture answer, this is a board for discussion. If you want to talk about a video, talk about it, and provide a link to it.
If you just want to have a video that people can view by opening the thread, no, that’s not going to happen. Blame a bunch of people posting to the board about 10-15 years ago. Same thing for embedded pictures.
There’s just not very much need to allow embedded video here. Embedded pictures could be useful in some contexts, but video - not so much.

We had a thread recently about why people don’t want to read books written in dialect.
Don’t bother to search. I’ll give away the answer. Because they are exactly this annoying.
