Linux & Com ports

If one is writing a C program in a Linux environment on IBM-compatible PC, how does one control the 8250-compatible COM port?

Thanks,

Tinker

This question would probably get more responses at a linux related forum. Might I suggest the OS forum at anandforums.gisystech.com ?

And my guess is that there is a special device in the /dev directory.

In a nutshell, you INCLUDE io.h and use the functions included therein.

Okay, I have a question of my own. How do you do those frigging hyperlinks?

Thanks all! I’ll look into those sites.

Baraqiyal, HTML has been disabled on this board. You have to use UBB coding to make links.
