Linux install on a multiboot PC

I seek advice on the best way to install Red Hat Linux v 7.1.

I have one 15 GB primary partition. Drive C. Win98SE is installed there.

On my extended partition I have three logical drives: D, 15 GB; E, 15 GB; F, 80 GB.

D has Win2K installed on it.

E is empty. Formatted w/Fat32.

F is a common drive I use to put stuff in.

I would like to install Linux onto the E drive, but the install proggie isn’t happy with that idea. Is there a solution?

I have a second 40 GB hard drive that isn’t currently in the system. Should I hook that up and use it some way?

Can’t really provide you with a solution if you don’t provide us with a problem. What are your indications that the “install proggie” is dissatisfied with putting Linux on E?

Also, it seems that this would be more appropriately posted in GQ.

This thread is better suited for In My Humble Opinion. I’ll move it for you.
