Has she ever said exactly why she married him? I have a weakness for celebrity gossip, but those two always seemed like a very ‘weird’ couple to me, so I kind of had a self-imposed ban on a lot of articles, interviews etc.
But she never seemed to love him, or even pretend to, plus she obviously didn’t need the money.

If you don’t believe it was out of love then the obvious answer is for publicity.
If it wasn’t love, I’d say it’s more likely she did it at the behest of her scientology masters, to try and get “The King Of Pop” into the fold.
