Well, Texas did wangle the right to break itself up into up to 5 states when it entered the Union, so I guess that fits. ![]()

Madame Pepperwinkle has a great love of the sea, not available here in Indiana. (Okay, so there’s Lake Michigan.)
California (my current home)
Oregon
Washington
Nevada
Hawaii
I’d pick a few more western states for the next five, plus maybe a state or two in New England.
Hawaii
New York
California
New Mexico
Colorado
Not necessarily in that order except Hawaii will always be No. 1 (lived there for 2-1/2 years).
Hawaii (home)
California (current)
Washington state (former)
Oregon
New York
New York’s only on there 'cause I’m out of coastal West Coast states.
New York
Connecticut
Maine
Minnesota
Idaho

Ok. If pressed:
California
Washington
Nevada
Hawaii
Utah
This is surprisingly hard. I am from Louisiana and the New Orleans is certainly awesome but I think I would be dead within 5 years if I lived there again. I also fulfilled my dream of living in Vermont and New Hampshire has always been one of my favorite states but it is just too cold for too long. I like some things about most states and could find parts of almost all of them that I would love live in (yes, even Alabama and Mississippi). I think New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania are the only ones I wouldn’t consider any part of. I am not that fond of my current state of Massachusetts either but it has its positives.
My reasonable picks are:
California (current location, just moved here and loving it!)
Montana
Colorado
North Carolina
New Mexico
Maine
Minnesota
North Carolina
Arkansas
Idaho
All my life I’ve lived in hot places, and man I am tired of sweating! I want to live someplace cool.
Colorado
CT
Vermont
Pennsylvania
New Hampshire
Colorado
Hawaii
New Mexico
Texas
…and Colorado again
Of the places I’ve lived in the US, I would go back to
Vermont
Louisiana
California
I would like to try living in
Alaska
Hawaii
With the exceptions of
Michigan
Chicago, Illinois
there’s NO PLACE in the Midwest I would ever consider living in again.
New York
New York
New York
New York
New York.
Ok. If shaky gun held to my head:
New York
Louisiana
Pennsylvania
Nevada
Illinois
Nevada
Peace
Contentment
Montana
Harmony
Well, I like the west coast also. soo…
1.Alaska, The last frontier. It can be cold though.
2.Washington, Mt. Reinier, Puget Sound, The Columbia River, Seattle, Spokane & Grand Coulee Dam.
3.British Columbia, Absolutely Gorgeous, Both the land and the folks.
4.Colorado, The Rockies at there best.
5.Idaho, The Snake River, the mountains, the lakes.
6.Northern California (not to be confused with San Fransisco, which is, at best, Central California).
7.Oregon, Like Washington, it has the Columbia River, the beach, the Coast range, The Cascades, the Blue mountains, & Crater lake to name a few.
Yes I AM aware that seven is greater then five, however 5,6, & 7 all tied for the #5 slot.
WHAT? B.C. is not a state?? Are you sure?? Well it ought to count as one. I think Canadian Providences should count. Heck I am going to count them anyway. So there!!
