"Literature" such as the NE Journal of Med and equivalents

I’m rounding out some references for a school project (at 37, I am back for more edumaction).

My advisor hinted that I could boost my reference list with some “Literature”.

Let me get to the jist of the issue:

My advisor considers the New England Journal of Medicine as “Literature”…and I understand why, but what I am trying to get at is,** “What would be an equivalent if I were researching credit reporting, or the credit industry**?”

A number of my classmates have littered their lists with stuff from the NE Journal of Medicine, because it fits in with their topics. But here I sit, iced in and unable to pester some librarians.

As far as ‘business literature’…or even literature that pertains to credit reporting, what would be some equivalents?

Ok.

(dang it. Yes, I admit that I am a librarian, and sigh business is my subject area)

Without knowing more specifics on your topic, a couple of key business journals are:
Harvard Business Review
The Economist

Looking at credit reporting type of topics there are:

Business Credit (aimed more at A/R and business credit situations)
Collections & Credit Risk
Credit Card Management
Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking
National Creditor Debtor Review

These titles are what I got with a quick search of the electronic journal center for my library. Your library may or may not have access to them.
I did a quick search for “credit reporting” in Business Source Premier (online database that your library may or may not have access to". If they do, and you do the search, leave out the " "). I limited the search to academic journals, and some of the titles that came up are:

Journal of Banking & Finance
Banking Law Journal
Journal of Property Management
ABA Banking Journal
Also, does your library provide a chat reference service? If they do, they’re going to know better what your library has access to - unless campus is closed, check their website and see if there’s anything like that available. And even if campus is closed, if you have a statewide library system there, there may still be chat reference available.

Lsura, I wished I had asked earlier!

Thank You.
