I rewatched Poltergeist III (The one with the mirrors) and something didn’t make sense. Carol Ann, her cousin (Lara Flynn Boyle) and the cousins boyfriend all get sucked into the mirrors/other dimension and the family fights to get them back. At one point the cousin and the boyfriend get back to our world and everything seems fine. We later find out that they really didn’t come back, it was bad versions of them. The bad couple walks off hand in hand and are not seen again. The movie goes on, and at the end everyone pulls together and saves Carol Ann and the cousin and the credits roll with the happy family all laughing and making light of the situation. But as far as I can see the boyfriend never made it back. Is that right or am I missing something? Was there a lost scene?
