Little House Books Coronapocalypse read-along, anyone?

This is my first post on these boards, but I only happened upon said boards because I started re-reading the Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder (or Rose Wilder Lane, if that’s your take on it) and found some fun threads popular back in 2014 and earlier. For example: Calling the musicologists - Factual Questions - Straight Dope Message Board

It’s been 6 years, so according to the rules it’s too late to resurrect an old thread. Well, at my own little house we’re into week 6 of quarantine, and the rest of the Little House books are still staring at me in all their faded glory. My teaching year just ended, so now I have some time (plus it only takes a couple of hours to read one anyway). Would anyone like to read them, or read Prairie Fires, and comment on what we read, knowing what we now know about the books and their author(s)? Who knows, maybe we could make sourdough biscuits when we get to BTSOSL, or make the gross cornmeal cakes that Laura found to be “very good” if anyone wants to.

Well, that’s what I came here to propose. If no one’s interested, so be it. But I thought it was worth a shot. And now, back to my netflix binge of “Dark” which I never had time to watch before. My brain is exploding from time travel. Maybe Ulrich or Jonas will end up warping back to De Smet and seducing Laura before she has a chance to fall in love with… no, never mind. Then the books wouldn’t be written, or they’d be called Little Cave in Germany, and we’d discuss that instead.
