Flight attendant friend of ours told us about a little old lady on one of her flights. She got up to go to the lavatory and the man sitting next to her noticed on the floor of the empty seat, a shoebox all wrapped up in black electricians tape.
This looked pretty suspicious, so he called a flight attendant. Pandamonium ensued. Captain came out to look at it just as the old lady came back.
Asked what that might be, she told them that as she was so short her feet could not reach the floor, so she carried that to act as a foot stool.
Sure enough, it was empty. Tape was just to make it stronger. I wonder how she got it through security without somebody questioning her.
