You know, Oglaf is a sometimes-pornographic comic which has actual gags and characterization.
This sounds like it would be in my wheelhouse, but…yeah, nope.
Yep. The guy knows how to draw big tits, but not how to be insightful, interesting, or funny.
Why the hostility?
So if you want to read a good pornographic fantasy webcomic, I’d recommend* I Roved Out in Search of Truth and Love (A Warmly Pornographic Fantasy Saga)*, by Alexis Flower. Note that it’s more “artistic” than usual for the genre, and that it’s as much fantasy as it is porn.
No. No it is not. Mediocre art and shitty writing. Unfunny *and *unsexy.
Meh. The art’s fine. Better than most webcomics, in fact.
But comics live and die by writing, not art. And whoever this is needs to work on making it engaging and not just dirty. That’s where it falls down.
I clicked the first one and about 12-15 after that and can’t say I found any of them funny.
Eh. I like it. Good art, raunchy humor. Enough to occupy a bookmark, for sure.
I did about a dozen. Anyone gotten a lot further and willing to let us know if it got a lot better?
That is beautiful, definitely up to the quality of the old Heavy Metal magazine.
Another good long-form narrative porn comic is Alfie, by InCase, about a halfling girl venturing out into a standard LotR-style fantasy world and having lots and lots of sex. Really good characterization and gorgeous art.
Yeah, this is by far the best ‘adult’ themed webcomic out there. Yes, there’s a lot of sex. I mean a LOT of sex - and surprisingly X-Ray shots - but there’s really a plot driving things along that’s worth reading.
Not to say Oglaf isn’t worth reading - it very much is - but it doesn’t really do much long-form storytelling.
Most pornographic webcomics appear to be the work of teen boys with little to no real understanding of sex or emotion or, hell, anything to do with storytelling or humor.
Looks interesting! I’m familiar with the artist, but I’ve never actually read the comic in question.
I, too, read *Alfie *for the plot.
