Looking for some guidance here. Want to go to a movie with my wife this weekend. Lives of Others looks really good, however she had a rough week and is probably looking for something with a happy ending. Without giving too much away can you say whether this movie ends on a happy or a sad note? Does it leave you feeling energized & hopeful or dark depressed & worn out?

Mmmm, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel…but it’s a pretty long, dark tunnel to get there. I don’t think you’ll leave feeling hopeful and energized. It’s a good movie, but you might want to save it for another time.
I don’t want to make it sound too depressing – it’s not like going to see “Schindler’s List” or anything. It’s part thriller, part drama, but given the time and subject of the movie, you know it’s not going to be a laugh a minute. I left feeling…contemplative, subdued.
Incidentally, I can’t tell if you want spoilers or not – your title indicates yes, your message indicates no. Let me know and I’ll tell you whatever you want.
