llamas and firecrackers..is it Christmas already?

I’ve always believed that I grew up in the world’s weirdest town. I now have proof. From the LaGrange Daily News online folks…it’s llamas and firecrackers just in time for Christmas!

Llamas and firecrackers? Even for LaGrange that’s weird.

Huh? What the heck do llamas have to do with any winter-season holiday, unless you’re in Peru, or some kind of weirdo llama-fancier getting the perfect Christmas gift?

Ya know, swampbear, I thought you were just naturally bizarre, but now I see you are obviously a product of your environment.

So, who’s up for writing a llama-firecracker carol?

Is the oversized firecracker a real, live functioning one? Most llamas I know are scared to the point of becoming frantic by fireworks and firecrackers. I hope they aren’t traumatizing the parade llamas too badly. Maybe they use very brave llamas.

Man, that is weird.

We just have normal, boring old-fashioned Christmas parades around here.

You know, with elephants and sky-divers and clog-dancing and stuff.

…LLAMAS RUN AMOK, TRAMPLE PARADE GOERS

LaGrange, GA

A herd of llamas, participating in the town’s annual Christmas Parade, ran amok through the city square park, injuring hundreds of innocent parade goers. The stampede started when a giant firecracker float caught fire. The resulting explosion of the firecracker caused the llamas to be startled, starting off a stampede. The rampant herd of llamas overturned the statue sitting in the middle of the park fountain, uprooted those strange looking trees planted all over the park and wreaked havoc on the Chamber of Commerce plaza located directly across from the park. Most of the injuries were apparently due to parade goers slipping in llama poop that ensued from the rampant llamas when the giant firecracker erupted.
I’m gonna be up all night watching CNN for the story.

FairyChatMom I am indeed the product of my environment. If it weren’t for the fact that it is a 2 hour and 15 minute one way ride from here to LaGrange, I’d be there tonight to see the Llamas. [sub]and be among the many who will probably be setting off strings of firecrackers[/sub]

Exgineer your town is just abnormal. Everybody knows that sky diving elephant clog dancers belong in Fourth of July parades.
