Let’s say that I have an LLC in the state of Ohio for a business that I am no longer working at and I want to start doing something else. Can I use the same LLC?
For instance if I was a florist and instead I wanted to open a pet store now, could I use the same LLC?
Assuming you’re the sole member of the LLC you can do whatever you want with it. But it would not be considered good practice to comingle the liabilities of unrelated businesses.
Depends upon what you declared as the business purpose when you filed the articles of organization to create the LLC with the state. If it was widely defined you might be able to. Although many states will permit you to amend the organization documents to change the scope of your business if it changes.
