I did. And I maintain that the recipient’s actions were his own, and did not reflect on the efficacy of their efforts.

The piano, once unloaded, was discovered to be horrendously, painfully out of tune. It was too late to do anything about it, so we went ahead with the performance. I still have nightmares about that concert.

Yes, a piano being moved should be re-tuned.

Had our piano moved by a piano tuner. He had a small truck, a trolly, and was used to moving pianos.

Took it out, reconditioned it (didn’t need much work, but had a string restrung and a couple of pads), brought it back to the new location tuned it, and ready to go.
